A band in your pocket.A studio round the back.
A groovebox for your phone, with a band that never misses rehearsal. They play the song; you join in on the pads, no wrong notes allowed. Turn it round and you’re in the studio, rewriting their parts. They take notes well.

- 1
The screen
The song, the section, what your pads are doing and the bar going by.
- 2
Controllers
What the pads are: the kit, a bass, chords, a lead, the mixer or the effects. Change your mind as often as you like. The band won’t notice.
- 3
Edit, settings, mute
Reorder the controllers or bring out the hidden ones. Mute drops the whole part you took over. The bassist takes it well.
- 4
The knobs
Different ones for each controller. Drag them up and down. None of them says cowbell. We know.
- 5
The pads
On the song’s scale, so there are no wrong notes, only confident ones. On a keyboard: 1–4, q–r, a–f, z–v.
- 6
The bottom row
The section before and after (they wait for the bar), record, play, auto, and studio ›. Record writes your pads into the song, so the band learns your part.
Tickets
all free, some not printed yetterms: no refunds, because no charge. the band doesn’t take requests, but you’re free to rewrite their songs. the management is not responsible for your neighbours.
A small project
pocketband is something I make in my spare time, for fun. It’s simple on purpose, and it will never do everything. What it does, I want it to do like a real instrument: every note on the beat, no clicks or dropouts, and nothing you make lost.
